9/11 Lapidary Art Class Series (Beginner)
Turn rocks into gemstones!
Lapidary art is the art of working with gemstones. We will be learning how to cut and polish stone, and make our own cabochons (to keep)! There will be several types of stones to choose from for your own project. Great for anyone who wants to learn about lapidary art hands on, jewelry-makers, rock enthusiasts, etc
Dates:
Wednesday, Sept 11, Friday, Sept 13th,
Wednesday Sept 18th, & Friday Sept 20st
Time: 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm (ish)
Number of class sessions: 4
Materials: All materials and supplies are provided
Ages: This class is appropriate for adults and accompanied children 16 and over.
What to bring: (Optional) Clothes you don’t mind getting a little dirty. An apron if you want to protect your clothing. Masks and Protective Eyewear are optional; we also have some here at the Art Lab for you to use.

Taught by Hanse Walker, an Alexandria, MN resident with a passion and background in Lapidary Art and instruction.
