2/14 & 21 Pottery - Handbuilding Class Series (Beginner)
Join our beginner hand-building class designed to create garden mushrooms! Over two sessions, you will learn the essential techniques of clay preparation, building your pieces, carving, sculpting, decorating, glazing, and finishing your pottery under the guidance of experienced instructor Nikki Moritz.
This course is perfect for those new to pottery, allowing you to explore your creativity while developing your skills. By the end of the class, you will have three unique pieces of art in three sizes for flower pots or in the garden.
Please consider trimming your fingernails for this class. Fingernail imprints transfer easily into clay, and it makes fixing little divots a lot easier to avoid, so you can focus on your art.
Dates:
Friday Feb 14th 6pm - 9pm
Friday Feb 21st 6pm - 9pm
Number of class sessions: 2
Materials: All materials and supplies are provided.
Ages: This class is appropriate for ages 14 and up.
Taught by: Nikki Moritz, a Sauk Centre resident with a passion for great pottery and many years of teaching experience.
Due to the nature and the popularity of our classes, refunds will be not allowed, and payment in advance is required to reserve a spot in our classes. If you would like to transfer your class spot to another individual, please contact us at 510artlab@gmail.com.
