What will you learn?
How to set up your sewing machine.
How to choose needles and settings.
How to choose or create designs.
You will need a regular sewing machine and manual, darning or free motion quilting foot, and an acrylic extension table if you have one. We have extra machines at the Lab so if you don’t have these items, let us know.
We will start with practice sandwiches. For this, you will need a yard of solid color fabric and two pieces of batting about 18”x22” each. Bring matching thread and contrasting thread.
In the last class, we will plan how you would quilt a small project you already have pieced or a preprinted fabric.
This 3-session class is appropriate for adults with some sewing experience.
Due to the nature and the popularity of our classes, refunds will be not allowed, and payment in advance is required to reserve a spot in our classes. If you would like to transfer your class spot to another individual, please contact us at 510artlab@gmail.com.
