Elevate your stained glass skills with our Intermediate Stained Glass Class at 510 Art Lab. Designed for those who have mastered the basics, this course offers a deeper dive into advanced techniques and designs.

You will explore new methods to create and finish your art in four class sessions. Our experienced instructors provide personalized guidance, ensuring you develop your unique style while mastering the craftsmanship of stained glass art.

In addition to honing your technical skills, you'll create and finish two projects in this class. You’ll have access to high-quality materials and tools, making the creative process enjoyable and rewarding.

Dates: Tuesday 10/1, Wednesday 10/2, Thursday 10/3 & Friday 10/4
Time: 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm

All materials and supplies are provided
Ages:
This class is appropriate for adults and accompanied children 18 and over.
What to bring: Feel free to bring a beverage and/or a snack

Prerequisites: Students should be comfortable cutting glass of different shapes and sizes, and using a glass grinder. Students should also have basic experience foiling and soldering glass projects.

Students will learn:

  • How to square up a panel

  • How to finish a Stained Glass piece with both hobby came and zinc came.

  • How to create your own hangers

  • How to use patina and gun blue for lead solder and zinc.

  • How to polish a piece using stained glass finishing compound.


Taught by Mike and Debbie Disher, Sauk Centre residents and owners of Ponderosa Glass. Their skills were germinated and deeply rooted in the 510 Art Lab. Mike has been making stained glass since 2019 and loves to share the fun of creating with this medium.
